PUBLIC NOTICE

On or about (July 17, 2017), the (Community Action Program of Evansville & Vanderburgh Co., Inc. (CAPE)) intends to apply to the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for funding from the State Community Development Block Grant Program. This program is funded by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. These funds are to be used for economic development, public facilities, and housing developments. The purpose of this application shall be for (owner occupied rehab assistance for income eligible homeowners who reside in Warrick County IN, Town of Oakland City, City of Princeton and Posey County.)

The (Community Action Program of Evansville & Vanderburgh Co., Inc. (CAPE) ) will hold a public hearings on the following dates: (July 6, 2017), at (5:00pm), at the Oakland City Columbia Township Library located at 210 S. Main Street Oakland City, IN); (July 10, 2017), at (5:00pm), at the Princeton Municipal Building located at 310 W. State Street Princeton, IN); (July 11, 2017), at (5:00pm), at the Ohio (Newburgh) Township Public Library located at 4111 Lakeshore Drive Newburgh, IN) & (July 12, 2017), at (5:00pm), at the CAPE Mt. Vernon office located at 1113 Main Street Mount Vernon, IN). (The meetings are being conducted to provide citizens and income eligible homeowners an opportunity to express their views on community development and housing needs, past community development and housing activities, and the proposed (CAPE Owner-Occupied Rehab Program) development. In the previous year(s), (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2012), the (Community Action Program of Evansville & Vanderburgh Co., Inc. (CAPE)) has received Community Development Block Grant funds for the following activities: (Owner-Occupied Rehab, Weatherization Deferral Owner-Occupied Rehab, Multifamily Housing & Senior Housing Development activities)

Records regarding the accounting of these beneficiaries and funds are available from (Tehiji Crenshaw, Director of Housing Programs with the Community Action Program of Evansville & Vanderburgh Co., Inc. (CAPE)).

Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement. A plan to minimize displacement and provide assistance to those displaced has been prepared and is available to the public. The application will be available for review and comment on (July 1, 2017). Information concerning the proposed development may be obtained from (Tehiji Crenshaw, Director of Housing Programs with the Community Action Program of Evansville & Vanderburgh Co., Inc. (CAPE)) from (9:00 am) to (5:00 pm) on (Monday thru Friday).
