Mt. Olive Church Newburgh Yard Sale

A yard sale at Mt. Olive Church on Hwy 261 in Newburgh will be held Saturday, July 14, from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. Drinks and snacks are available (for donation). Donate items with proceeds going to missions or rent a table to sell items for your own profit.

One-Day Vacation Bible School

Southside Baptist Church will host the "Game On!" VBS on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. All children from preschool through grade 6 are welcome. Your children will enjoy fun, games, Bible stories and crafts at this sports-themed event. Lunch will be served by Subway. It is important that your children are there at 10 a.m. or before. The church is located on the curve just passed the Boonville Middle School on Yankeetown Road.

History Revisited: Through the Photography of Kenneth May

Newburgh Museum opens newest exhibit "History Revisited: Through the Photography of Kenneth May" meet the photographer event on July 14 at 3 p.m. This is an exclusive exhibit of Civil War photography that includes photography from Civil War re-enactments throughout the United States, as well as "Newburgh Remembers" by Kenneth May. The Newburgh Museum, located at the corner of State and Main in Preservation Hall, is open to the public on Friday and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Group tours are available by calling 812-853-5045 to schedule a private tour. The Museum is accessible to all.

Folsomville U.M.C. Homecoming

The Folsomville United Methodist Church will hold its homecoming on Sunday, July 15. Church service is at 10:30 a.m., a catered lunch is at 11:45 a.m. and singing by the Oliver Family, Elaine Huffman and The Remnants will begin at 1 p.m. Come join in the fellowship, great food and music for a day of blessing.

Warrick County Museum Presents Stonerock As Hoosier Pioneer

Warrick County Museum presents Kevin Stonerock on Saturday, July 21, as a Hoosier pioneer. His presentation centers on the life of Andrew Amonett, a true-to-life frontiersman of the Indiana Territory during the time period 1770-1810. Kevin is a very animated speaker and previously portrayed Billy Yank at the museum. Tickets are $15 each and available at Millers 5 &10, through museum board members or at the museum. 'Newburgh Remembers'

The Newburgh Museum will host its third annual "Newburgh Remembers" reenactment of the Raid on Newburgh on Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22. This three-day event will remember the history of those who participated in, and were impacted by Johnson's raid on Newburgh in 1862. "Newburgh Remembers" is a weekend of events designed to bring back to life the sights, sounds, and tastes of Newburgh during the American Civil War. The family friendly commemoration will include battle re-enactments, a cotillion ball at Rolling Hills Country Club, a afternoon ladies' tea, tours of historic homes, educational lectures, living history demonstrations and vendors at the Sutlers' Village, Civil War photography exhibition by Kenneth May at the Museum, and much more. Red Cross Issues Urgent Call For Blood Donors

An emergency blood shortage is prompting the American Red Cross to issue an urgent call for eligible donors of all blood types - especially Type O - to give now and help save lives. Upcoming blood donation opportunities are Monday, July 23, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Boonville-Warrick County Public Library, 611 West Main St. Boonville; Saturday, July 28, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Newburgh Fire Department, 540 State St.; and Tuesday, July 31, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at First Christian Church, 4544 State Road 261, Newburgh.

'Beat the Heat' TOUCH INC. Trivia Night

TOUCH INC. is excited to announce our "Beat the Heat" TOUCH INC. Trivia Night on Friday, July 27. Escape the summer heat with a night of food, trivia and fun at the Red Fez. This event is being held at the beautiful Hadi Shrine at 6 Walnut St. in Evansville. Doors, cash bar, and silent auction open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. and trivia begins at 7 p.m. Play trivia in teams up to eight people. Prices awarded to the top three teams. Tickets are $35 per person and include dinner and trivia entry. Divas and Dogs for PAAWS presents Doggie Date Night on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Rolling Hills Country Club, 1666 Old Plank Rd., Newburgh. Guests will spend a full evening celebrating rescue pets with dining, dessert and dancing. Enjoy our annual Runway Pet Show & Photo Contest. Join in the fun while bidding on the silent auction.
