Warrick Humane Society's Dogs & Suds 2018 is Saturday, Sept. 15 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Warrick County 4-H Fairgrounds. Along with the 5K Run/Walk, there will be food, beer garden, pet pictures and pet activities available. The 5K road race starts at 2 p.m. Registration on day of event will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is $25. Race T-shirts will be guaranteed only to those who registered early. Trophies will be awarded. Annual Pig Roast

Skelton/Owen Fire Territory Annual Pig Roast is Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Folsomville Fire Station. Food will be served at 4 p.m. followed by an auction starting at 6 p.m. BBQ meals will be served with your choice of baked beans or coleslaw, potato salad and choice of tea or lemonade. Adults, $8 and kids, $5. Soft drinks are 50¢. Raffle for a $500 gift card or gas grill: $1 donation for one ticket or $5 donation for six tickets.

Iron Skillet Cooking Class

Iron Skillet Cooking Class will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Extension Homemakers Bldg. Warrick County 4-H Fair Grounds, Boonville. Hands on for the participants to learn techniques to cook with an iron skillet. Chef Amanda will be doing a book signing for her cook book and life journey, "The Best is Yet to Come" at the event! Learn recipes and cooking tips from Amanda and her book as she leads us through a delicious evening! Class is limited, make your pre-paid $15 reservation ASAP. Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Newburgh Chandler Public Library will sponsor a used book sale at the Bell Road Library, located at Hwy. 66 and Bell Rd., on Sept. 13 through Sept. 16. A preview sale for members of the Friends will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13. You can join the Friends that night! The sale is open to the public on Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 16,from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friends book bags may be purchased for $8, then filled for an additional $8. If you already have a Friends book bag, bring it and fill it for $8. The proceeds from the sale are used to provide educational programs and other support for the Bell Road, Chandler and downtown Newburgh Libraries in Warrick County. Lt. Governor Crouch and Senator Becker to Speak at SIRS 50th Anniversary Luncheon

Southern IN Resource Solutions (SIRS) will celebrate 50 years of service at a luncheon on Friday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Rolling Hills Country Club, Newburgh. The organization is honored to host Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and Senator Vaneta Becker as guest speakers. SIRS, a nonprofit organization, advocates for inclusive, diverse communities and supports individuals with disabilities who live, learn, work and recreate in Dubois, Perry, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. Sycamore St., Boonville, (handicap entrance on Gum Street) will have a grilled chicken dinner on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Served family style: ½ chicken dinner $10, ¼ chicken dinner $7, chicken leg dinner (includes 1 chicken leg) $4, ½ chicken $5, one large side $3. Flag Down Cancer

Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Warrick County United Methodist Church invite you to the 2nd Annual Hospitality Car Show on Sunday, Sept. 23. Vehicle registration is $15 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Dash plaques to the first 50 cars registered. Trophies awarded to the top 20 vehicles. Judging begins at 2 p.m. and awards given at 3:30 p.m. Food service begins at 11 a.m. View admission is free. Party in Paradise 2018

Party in Paradise, on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., is a throwback to simpler times. It's an opportunity to enjoy one of Warrick County's treasures -- Friedman Park -- while relaxing alongside friends with a cold beer, local live music and delicious food truck options. All funds raised will benefit Warrick Trails. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Party in Paradise is 21+ and valid identification must be provided. Ticket includes entry and live music.
