A Warrick County man has been arrested on charges of rape, child molesting, battery and criminal confinement after an investigation into allegations made by two minors.

Floyd Caudill, 34, of the 300 block of Cherry Street in Lynnville, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 30, after an investigation into allegations made by two minors who had lived with Caudill after their mother left. The minors alleged that the abuse went on for a number of years, but the reports were mostly ignored by their mother.

According to a

probable cause affidavit, interviews with the minors revealed allegations that Caudill had forced the minors into sexual acts over a period of years. The affidavit also states that Caudill was made aware of the investigation prior to being contacted by police.

"He said he has prepared for the worst. [The investigating officer] asked him to make it right and [Caudill] replied, 'how do you make something like this right,'" the affidavit states.

Caudill was charged with two counts of rape as a Level 3 felony, six counts of sexual misconduct with a minor as a Level 4 felony, one count of sexual misconduct with a minor as a Level 5 felony, two counts of child molesting as a Level 4 felony, one count of criminal confinement as a Level 6 felony and one count of domestic battery by bodily waste as a Class A misdemeanor. He is currently in custody on a $50,000 bond.

Caudill appeared in court on Monday for his initial hearing.
