Donald Ray Johnson, 81, of Midway, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at his home.

Donnie was born in Evansville, on March 30, 1936, to the late Walter and Gwendolyn (Hullett) Johnson.

Donnie attended Main Street General Baptist Church in Boonville. He was the 11th generation in his family to farm. He owned Johnson Farms and was also a fertilizer dealer. He owned and operated the Rockport Junction for 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joann Johnson.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Jeannine Johnson of Midway; children, Carol Sue Robertson and her husband, Louis of Calhoun, Ky; Bret Johnson and his wife, Amy of Boonville; Joyce Williams and her husband, Tim of Boonville; grandchildren, Katy Disney, Cody Robertson, Clint Johnson, Clay Johnson, Blake Cutrell, Ammer Arnold, and Clay Williams; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way; siblings, Marsha Rieckers and Albert Johnson.

Services were at held on Nov. 18, 2017 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, with Rev. Rodney Sloan officiating. Burial was in Gwaltney Cemetery in Midway.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer County Hospice Association.
