Ruth I. (Mottler) Sanders, 93, of Boonville, passed away on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville.

Ruth was born on July 1, 1925 to the late Gladys and Oatley Mottler.

Ruth, along with her husband, Randall, owned and operated Boonville Ready Mix as well as an excavating business. Upon retiring from business in 1988, they traveled in their motor home until purchasing a winter home in Florida. Ruth was a member of Eastern Star, St. John’s United Church of Christ, and Kentucky Travelers Motorcycle Club. Besides traveling Ruth also enjoyed motorcycle riding, crocheting, fishing, sewing, roller skating, and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Randall; sisters-in-law, Lucille Asher, Elsie Wilcox, Olive Oskins; brothers-in-law, Paul Miller, Paul Sanders; great nephew, Paul Asher.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Randa Sanders of Boonville; daughter, Judy Cron and her husband, Randy of Newburgh; granddaughter, Casey Hahn (Ryan) of Newburgh; great-granddaughter, with whom Ruth shares a birthday, Lilly of Newburgh; sister, Norma Lee (Tootie) Miller; nephew, Allen Asher and his wife, Brandi.

We, the daughters, would like to thank the Woodmont Health Campus staff for their love and care of mother during the five years that she spent at the facility. Also, thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care during her final days.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at Koehler Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrick County Humane Society.
