Boonville resident Thomas E. Shoulders Sr. died Tuesday, Dec. 20. He was 86.

Thomas had many interests, including gardening, reading his Bible and spending time with his family. He was a a volunteer for the 4-H Club and gave to many charities. Thomas also enjoyed four-wheller riding with the L.A. Dirt Riders and tractor pulls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and six brothers.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 66 years, Deloris Jean (Yoakum); seven children, Thomas E. Shoulders Jr. of Evansville, Judy A. Pawlowski and her husband, Steve, of Newburgh, Linda Kae Wilson and her husband, Steve, of Evansville, DeLane Helms and her husband, Mark, of Boonville, Sherrie S. Bolton and her husband, Bryan, of Boonville, Michael R. Shoulders of Boonville and Troy A. Shoulders and his wife, Leah, of Seminole, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
