Marlene M. Rhoads, 84, of Boonville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Transcendent Healthcare North of Boonville.

Marlene was born in Warrick County, Indiana on Sept. 25, 1933 to the late Porter and Nera (Addington) Barnett.

Marlene was a member of Baker Chapel United Methodist Church of DeGonia Springs. She had been a hairdresser for many years. Marlene enjoyed square dancing with the Warrick Promenaders.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald L. Rhoads of Boonville; children, Janet L. McConnell and her husband, Jerry of Carroll County, Ind.; Dale Brent Rhoads of Albuquerque, N.M.; Gary Wayne Rhoads of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Abby McConnell, Chris McConnell, Christina Rhoads, Barrett Rhoads, Samuel Rhoads, Anna Rhoads, and Jacob Rhoads; siblings, Carl Barnett and Dorothy; James Barnett and Becky; Robert Barnett and Eric Lane; sister-in-law, Betty Dougan.

Services were held on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Baker Chapel United Methodist Church in DeGonia Springs with Rev. Randy Moore officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
