Evansville resident Betty J. Kearns died Wednesday, Dec. 7 at her home. She was 72.

Betty had worked at LC Harrys Diner, Embassy MEn’s Apparel, Kimball Electronic in Jasper and Spencer Industries.

Betty went to schools in Tennyson and Folsomville.

She collected “Betty Boop” collectables. Betty loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by five children, Jim Miller and his wife, Elizabeth, Debbie Miley, Scott Miley and Mark Miley and his wife, Rachel, all of Evansville, and Donnie Miley and his wife, Yolonda, of Cloversport, Ky.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ruff of Tavares, Fla.; and four brothers, William “Bill” Miller and his wife, Eva, of Ft. Branch, Don “Pudge” Byers and his wife, Gayla Jo, of Gentryville, Wayne Byers and his wife, Linda, of Selvin and Bobby Byers of St. Henry.

Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
