Curtis Royal Hadley, 87, of Lynnville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at his home.
Curtis was born on June 29, 1931 in Warrick County, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Nellie (Heilman) Hadley.
Curtis served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a life time member of the VFW Post 3418 and American Legion Post 0444 where he served on the funeral detail for over 20 years for the VFW. He worked at Victoria Mines, Warrick County Recycle and retired from ALCOA after 29 years of service. Curtis was a partner in Hadley Bros Trucking, and owned and operated Center Inn, Frosty Drive-In, and Selvin Market. He was a 64 year member of the Gentryville Masonic Lodge # 424, a past Shriner and Scottish Rite 32nd degree and Swords of Bunker Hill.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joleene Hadley; siblings, Meriel Elliott (Lloyd), Edith Hadley, Walter Hadley, Lowell Hadley, Victor Lloyd (Jean), Otto Howard (Dorothy).
Curtis is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda Sue (Bruce) Hadley of Lynnville; children, Cathy Leslie, Jonell Madden, Donna Hale, Tom Radell (Sue), Lisa Robinson, April Schafer, Lorri, Joe Anderson, Douglas Barnett, Teresa Johnson (Jeff), John Clarke (Marsha); sister, Eva Engles (Art); several grandchildren; great-grandchild, Landon Michael; nieces, Kara Black (Scott), Jennea Hadley, Phillis Whendt.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, with Pastor Ermil Wilhite officiating. Burial will be at Little Zion Cemetery in Tennyson with the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services to conduct military honors.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A Masonic Service for Curtis will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Church in Lynnville or to the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services.
