George A. Hatfield, 90, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born in Baskett, Kentucky, on June 10, 1927, to the late Robert and Edna Hatfield.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. George was the founder and former owner of Hatfield Refrigeration and a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Hatfield; and son, Mark Hatfield.

George is survived by son, Scott Hatfield (Darleen); daughters, Paula M. Lattner (Mark), Lisa S. Lant (Richard), Mary Beth Ennulat; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 27, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiated by Rev. John Pfister with burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be performed at the cemetery by American Legion Kapperman Post 44.
