Richard A. Taylor, 73, of Boonville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville.

Richard was born on Sept. 23, 1945 in Huntingburg, to the late Louise (Armstrong) and Joseph Taylor.

He graduated High School in Chrisney in 1963. Richard retired from Indiana Bell after 25 plus years of service as a Lineman. He worked for Caterpillar and Bell Labs in Illinois when he was younger. Richard was an avid motorcycle enthusiast his entire life. He was a carpenter, building his own home and several others. He was also an inventor, machinist, tradesman, mechanic, and entrepreneur. He was quite a baker and cook. He could really do anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, JoAnn Taylor.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Lana Walgren and her husband, Scott of Montgomery, Ill.; grandson, Tyler Walgren, and granddaughter, Taylor Walgren; one brother, Henry Taylor, and sister in law, Jean; one niece and two nephews. He was also very close to the Armstrong cousins. He also had lifelong friends from Indiana Bell and many other great friends. He was fantastic father and grandfather and lived his life to the fullest.

A memorial service for Richard will be held at a later date.
