Mariline B. (Holtz) Patterson, 90, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born Aug. 26, 1927 in Elberfeld, to the late Frederich and Lissetta Holtz.

She graduated from Elberfeld High School and attended Lockyear Business College. She was a member Zion Church of Elberfeld and also McCutchanville Church, where she was involved in the Garden Club, children's ministries and the Sunday School. Mariline was also a Cub Scout Den mother. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, birdwatching and wildlife, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mariline was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 68 years, Roy Patterson; siblings, Wilburn "Bud", Arthur and Alfred Holtz, and Ruth Kuhlenschmidt; daughter-in-law, Theresa Patterson; nephews, Ronnie Jourdan and Gary Holtz.

She is survived by sons, Dan (Debbie), Don and Dave (Linda) Patterson; grandchildren, Craig (Lindsey), Catie, Casondra, Allen (Jane), Joe (Mandy) and Doug (Carrie) Patterson and Sarah Patterson-Bosek; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tristan and Caiden Bosek and Ireland, Bailey, Sophia, Ella, Molly, Liliana, Aubrey, Alexander, Claire, Emmett, Evan, Noah and Kaitlyn Patterson; nieces, Sharon Crafton, Nancy Bedford and Joyce Plato; nephews, Larry and Terry Holtz and Kenny Jourdan; sister-in-law, Dorothy Holtz and beloved dog, Jessie.

The funeral service was held on Nov. 20, 2017 at Alexander North Chapel with burial in McCutchanville Cemetery.
