To the editor:

I grew up in Boonville and have family members buried at Maple Grove. It’s hard for me to believe that Maple Grove Cemetery has been allowed to deteriorate this far.

It is outrageous that committee members can’t be reached and have no concern. Even the newest member does not know when meetings are held? This committee needs to be scrapped and a new one elected by the people of Boonville.

The current members are treating the cemetery as private property. I would suggest that they be sued for damages and made accountable for every penny that has been paid to the cemetery.
