The sons and daughters of five employees from Alcoa Warrick Operations have each been awarded college scholarships from the Alcoa Foundation.
The students at Chandler Elementary School collected 1,002 canned goods for the Chandler United Methodist Church Food Pantry in less than two weeks’ time. Mrs. Slepsky’s and Mrs. Merta’s classes each brought in 110 cans, earning them priority seating at the school’s I-Can Program on Oct. 15.
