The Boonville girls' soccer team improved their winning record on the season with a Monday night win over Princeton.
The Pioneers have had a back and forth season with some strong wins and some losses. But, on Monday night, the Pioneers defeated Princeton at home, 3-1.
Princeton struck early with the first goal of the game, but Boonville battled back. Boonville managed to regain control while maintaining defense, and came through with two own goals and a goal of their own to take the 3-1 win.
The win comes just after a mixed bag last week with a 10-1 win over North Posey at home on Tuesday and a 6-2 loss against Forest Park on the road on Thursday.
Now, the Pioneers will gear up Wednesday for a matchup against Washington after press time.
Boonville will then take a week off ahead of a home matchup against Evansville Day School on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Then, the Pioneers will be in the home stretch with a battle on the road against South Knox on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., a final home matchup against Reitz on Monday, Sept. 24, at 5:30 p.m. and the final game of the regular season on the road against Vincennes Lincoln on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m.
