Tecumseh boys' tennis defeated Boonville last week on the Pioneers' home court.
The teams faced off on on Aug. 30 with the Braves leaving with a 4-1 win over the Pioneers. Despite the Tecumseh win, the Boonville doubles team of sophomore Nick Hyndman and junior Hunter Bruce continued their win streak.
In the one-singles matchup, Tecumseh senior Woody Brucken took the win over Boonville senior Ben Meier; 6-2, 6-3. On the two-singles court, Tecumseh senior Logan Arnold took a win over Boonville senior Levi Osha; 6-4, 6-7, 6-0. In the three-singles battle, Tecumseh sophomore Jalen Oxley took the win over Boonville junior Zeb Miles; 6-2, 6-4.
Then in doubles, in the one-doubles slot, Tecumseh senior Kinzer Flowers and sophomore Dylan Greenburg took the win over Boonville junior Camden Greer and senior Ross Kirkland; 6-2, 6-0. But, continuing their streak, Hyndman and Bruce took the win for the Pioneers over Tecumseh senior Trevor Cox and sophomore Kade Brown; 7-5, 6-3.
Now, the Pioneers face Washington on the road after press time on Tuesday and will face Heritage Hills on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 4:30 p.m. before coming back home to take on Tell City at home on Monday, Sept. 10, at 4:30 p.m.
The Braves will return home for a matchup against North Posey on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and against Northeast Dubois on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Then, the Braves will travel for the Gibson Southern Invite on Saturday before taking Heritage Hills on the road on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
