Both the Castle Marching Knights and the Boonville Band of Gold are moving on to the Indiana State School Music Association state finals after scoring high in semistate competition.

Boonville took ninth in the state in Class C competition, while Castle took fourth overall in Class A competition.

Castle then went on to compete in the Bands of America Super Regional Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where the band took seventh place over 56 bands from 10 states in the Midwest. From there, the Knights went on to compete at the The Bands of America Grand National Championship featuring 100 bands from across the nation. Castle took third in their class and tenth overall in the competition.
