The Boonville High School Class of 1969 50th Class Reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at American Legion, 1021 E. Main St., Boonville. Bike Safety Day

Kiwanis Club of Historic Newburgh will host Bike Safety Day for the kids in the greater Newburgh area on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. The fine people at Cycling Solutions will provide instruction; along with the Newburgh Police Department. Newburgh Volunteer Fire Department will also be there. Deaconess Hospital will be providing a free helmet for first 40 participants that complete the training. The event includes basic traffic safety skills training, bike inspections, and helmet fitting. Participants will meet at the Newburgh Kiwanis Club building on 3rd Street next to the track. Rayla Ray Band Scholarship Dinner

Rayla Ray Band (from Nashville) will be performing at the Scholarship Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Elberfeld American Legion Post 351. Ribeye dinner is at 7 p.m. and band begins at 9 p.m. Entry fee is $5 per person. Dinner is $20 per person and carryout is available for $15 per person. Movie Night at Mt. Gilead G.B. Church

"War Room, Prayer is a Powerful Weapon", from the creators of "Fireproof" and "Courageous", will be shown at Mt. Gilead G.B. Church on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available following the movie.

Free Budgeting Class

2019 Thrift Store Prom

The 2019 Thrift Store Prom, a fundraiser for Warrick County Sheriff Office K9 Unit will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 from 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at Warrick FOP, 300 Owensboro Rd., in Boonville. Warrick County Special Olympics Fundraiser

Warrick County Special Olympics will be having a cookout at the American Legion in Boonville on Saturday, Oct. 5. Pre-orders must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 18 by calling 812-897-2148. Follow your nose to Newburgh Senior Center on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28 for the 2019 edition of Porkapalooza! The Newburgh BBQ Coalition will be smoking ribs and tenderloins on the side yard of the Center at 529 Jefferson Street. You can order those ribs and tenderloins and pulled pork by the quart beginning Aug. 15 by calling 812-853-5627 or stopping by the Center from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pulled pork sandwich lunches will be available both days of Porkapalooza from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. You can eat in or carry out. The cost is $5 per lunch.
