41st Annual Church Bazaar
Lynnville United Methodist Church at 418 Church Street will have their 41st Annual Church Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Crafts, Trash and Treasure, Christmas items, silent auction baskets, desserts, homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods will be available.
Walmart Toy Collections
The Salvation Army is has been invited by Walmart Supercenters to collect toys for area children to assist with the ToyTown Christmas distribution. This event will take place at the Evansville East, West, Newburgh, and Boonville Supercenters on Friday, Nov. 9. Volunteers will be handing out a shopping list with needed toys that would be helpful for the Toy Town distribution which is to take place on Dec. 17 and 18. Applications are now being taken for families who are in need of Christmas Assistance. The application process will continue at The Salvation Army 1040 N. Fulton Ave. Evansville, Indiana. Applications will continue: Nov. 4 through Nov. 7 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until 1p.m.
St. Matthew Church at 3044 Somerville Rd., in Lynnville, will have a Thanksgiving Supper on Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. Turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and all the trimmings. Dine-In or Carry-Out available. Adults is $9 and child 4-10 is $4.50. Country Store items will also be for sale, including pecans, kitchen utensils and more. For more information, call 812-922-5169.
Woodmont Health Campus at 1325 Rockport Rd, in Boonville, is honoring our local Veterans for their service to our country with a Veteran's Café on every second Tuesday of each month, beginning Nov. 12 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Join us to learn about issues that are important to our veterans. Free Veterans Event
Woodmont Health Campus at 1325 Rockport Road, in Boonville, is hosting two free workshops for Veterans and their families on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Attend our free workshop to learn about a valuable solution on how to pay for senior living. Wartime Veterans and surviving spouses may be eligible for $14,509 to $26,765 tax-free annual income from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Refreshments will be served.
