Freedom General Baptist Church, at 4233 Crowville Rd. in Boonville, Homecoming will be held Sunday, June 30. Dinner at 12 p.m. Singing at 1:30 p.m. with Paul Northcutt.

Scales Lake Park Fireworks

Scales Lake Park's fireworks display will be held Thursday, July 4. Cost is $5 per car after 5 p.m. and is cash only. Fireworks start at approximately 9 p.m.

Historic Newburgh Fireworks & Evening in the Park

Historic Newburgh Fireworks & Evening in the Park is Friday, July 5 starting at 5 p.m. at the Old Lock and Dam. An old fashion community celebration with lots of food, a beer garden with live music from The Honey Vines, and a community concert by the Old Dam Band. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Park at Sharon Elementary School to catch a shuttle bus to the riverfront. Shuttle buses start running at 5 p.m. Shuttle busses are handicap accessible.

Self-Defense Seminar

Learn effective, fun, and high quality Self-Defense from Master Eric Elliott, Chief Instructor of Elliot Kyusho-Jitsu Martial Arts School, at the Boonville Warrick County Public Library on Saturday, July 6 from 3:45 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. This seminar is free of charge.

Free Community Dinner

Free Community Dinner at the Tennyson Community Center on Wednesday, July 17 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family! Everyone is welcome! Sponsored by the Community Outreach Ministries.

Newburgh Remembers Cotillion

The Newburgh Remembers Cotillion will take place on Friday, July 19 at 5 p.m. at Rolling Hills Country Club. Participants will enjoy dinner and dancing to music of the era with the option of dressing in Civil War period clothing. There will also be a silent auction. Join your friends and neighbors for this event sponsored by The Newburgh Museum. Tickets are available at the Newburgh Museum or by calling Leanna Hughes at 812-598-5500. Civil War Homes and Families of Newburgh

The Civil War Homes and Families of Newburgh are celebrated on Saturday, July 20 with an enjoyable dinner and historical presentation at La Veranda on East Water Street. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. and an interesting and informative presentation of Civil War properties and families will begin at 7 p.m. Presenter will be John Dickerson, a Secretary of the Interior historian who will feature many of the Civil War homes and history of Newburgh families. Tickets are available at the Newburgh Museum or by calling Leanna Hughes at 812-598-5500. Cost is $30. RSVP by July 16. Tickets for this event are limited.

Antique Steam & Gas Engine Club 2019 Summer Show

The Antique Steam & Gas Engine Club 2019 Summer Show at Thresherman's Park is Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28 from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. Exhibits include: steam powered saw mill, threshing, blacksmith shop, tractors, steam engines, garden tractors and gas engines, 1800s log cabin, restored Old Fletcher Chapel (church service on Sunday at 9 a.m.), horse barn with mules and horses working the fields, huge flea market and lots of good food. Admission: $5 adults; 13 years and younger free; seniors get in for $3 on Friday only.

Pins Fur Paws

Pins Fur Paws is Saturday, July 27 from 10:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Showplace Entertainment Center & Burgh House, 8099 Bell Oaks Dr., Newburgh. Purchase tickets through Eventbrite. One bowler is $10, four person team is $40. All proceeds benefit Warrick Humane Society.
