Upcoming American Red Cross Blood Donation Opportunities: Faith Free Will Baptist Church at 303 North 5th St. in Chandler on Thursday, July 11 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.; Deaconess Women's Hospital at 4199 Gateway Blvd. in Newburgh on Friday, July 12 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. To donate blood, simply download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Warrick County 4-H Fair

The Warrick County 4-H Fair Little Miss and Mister Contest is Saturday, July 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Alcoa Building (admission $2) and Warrick County Queen Contest is at 7 p.m. in the Alcoa Building (admission $2). Warrick County 4-H Fair exhibits and rides open on Monday July 15 and run through July 20. General admission is $2 per person or week pass is $10 per person. Celebrate Purdue University's 150 Years of Giant Leaps

Celebrate Purdue University's 150 Years of Giant Leaps by giving back. We are challenging our community to a food drive. Let's raise 150 lbs of canned goods at the Warrick County 4H Fair. Drop your donation in the barrel at the Fair Office. Food items will be donated to local food pantries. Join us for our 150th Celebration at the Parade of Champions on Friday, July 19 at 4:30 p.m.in the Alcoa Building.

Newburgh Remembers Cotillion

The Newburgh Remembers Cotillion is Friday, July 19 at 5 p.m. at Rolling Hills Country Club. Participants will enjoy dinner and dancing to music of the era with the option of dressing in Civil War period clothing. There will also be a silent auction. Join your friends and neighbors for this event sponsored by The Newburgh Museum. Tickets are available at the Newburgh Museum or by calling Leanna Hughes at 812-598-5500. Civil War Homes and Families of Newburgh

The Civil War Homes and Families of Newburgh are celebrated on Saturday, July 20 with an enjoyable dinner and historical presentation at La Veranda on East Water Street. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. and an interesting and informative presentation of Civil War properties and families will begin at 7 p.m. Presenter will be John Dickerson, a Secretary of the Interior historian who will feature many of the Civil War homes and history of Newburgh families. Tickets are available at the Newburgh Museum or by calling Leanna Hughes at 812-598-5500. Cost is $30. RSVP by July 16. Tickets for this event are limited.

Pins Fur Paws

Pins Fur Paws is Saturday, July 27 from 10:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Showplace Entertainment Center & Burgh House, 8099 Bell Oaks Dr., Newburgh. Purchase tickets through Eventbrite. One bowler is $10, four person tem is $40. All proceeds benefit Warrick Humane Society.

TRI-CAP Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC Show Trip
