Oakdale Veterans Day

Fourth grade and Excel classes at Oakdale Elementary School will be honoring Veterans with a program at 1:15 p.m. for the school and 6:30 p.m. for family on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015.

American Legion members will help us by presenting and retrieving the colors. There will also be a flag presentation on folding the flag and what it represents. Oakdale will be honoring these and family veterans at the program.

Rousing melodies will include; Stars and Stripes Forever, Grand Old Flag, This Land is Your Land, America the Beautiful, The Armed Forces Song, America, God Bless America, and We Can Make a Difference in Our World Today!

The fourth grade classes will present the winners of a creative writing project and they will read their essay on “What I would tell a Veteran.” Students will also be introducing family members who are veterans that are in attendance.

Please join us Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Oakdale gymnasium.
