The Newburgh Farmers Market is in season at Old Lock and Dam Park in downtown Newburgh on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and noon. The market, which features a cast of 40 different stalls selling a diverse array of goods, is run entirely by local businesses.
While the event was held last year, it was downscaled severely and is in the process of bouncing back to its previous pace. Anything from produce like corn and tomatoes, to goods like meats and gourmet dog treats are being purveyed at Old Lock and Dam.
The farmers market runs until the end of September.
In addition to shopping, the farmers market offers live music and events for children.
“It is more than just a farmers market…it is a happening,” Historic Newburgh Inc. states on their website. “Overlooking the sparkling waters of the Ohio River on the west lawn of the Old Lock & Dam on the downtown Newburgh riverfront. Enjoy browsing a variety of vendors including produce, meats, handwoven rugs, bakery items, jewelry, doggy treats, and flowers and herbs.”
