Boonville, IN — Gary Ray Kolley, 60, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.

Gary was born on Dec. 31, 1960. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kolley; sister, Diane Theiring and brother, Danny Kolley. Gary worked for Glenn Kramer for many years at Prime Foods and at Wal-Mart for 22 years, until he was forced to retire due to health issues.

He also owned and operated “Kats Cakes” on South Third Street in Boonville.

He loved spending every minute he could with his grandkids. He also enjoyed every minute he could outside on his tractor grading the drives or just working in his field until his health no longer permitted it. He was well loved, had many friends, and will be sorely missed by all.

Gary is survived by his partner and love of 22 years, Cathy Jones; son Dustin Jones (Angel); daughter Jenny Bumgardner (Jason); grandchildren Hunter West, Pierce West, Jayse Bumgardner, Kolton Bumgardner, SebastianHaynes (Sam); Jasmine Kline (Zach), Phoenix Jones; 2 great-grandchildren; foster Dad, Lawton Wilbanks (Patty); foster Mom, Wilma Tison; foster Brother, Chris Wilbanks; sisters Roberta Zollman, Dorothy Kolley; brothers Jeff Kolley and David Kolley; brother-in-law Bob “Frank” Pierce; sister-in-law Rosalie Acker; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor David Sutton officiating.

Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
