Boonville, IN. — James Edwin Toy, 87, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

James was born on Feb. 16, 1933 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late James D. and Erlene (Crumbacher) Toy.

James was a member of Boonville United Methodist Church for many years. He was a lay speaker for many years at Baker Chapel Church in Boonville. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a Shriner and a 50 year member of the Masonic lodge in Natchez, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eudora H. Toy; brother, William Toy.

James is survived by his children, Richard E. Toy and his wife Debra of Boonville, IN; James Russell Toy of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Kevin Toy and his wife, Jessica of Cameron, NC; Christopher Toy and his wife, Wendy of Palm Harbor, FL; great-grandchildren, Connor, Collin, Ashley, Ethan, Elaina; siblings, Mary Toy, Margaret McIntyre (Mike); Mona Huffman (Mike); Daniel Toy, Betty Petty; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor Greg Pimlott officiating. Burial took place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
