BOONVILLE, Ind. — Bobby Lee Hart, 87, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, Indiana.

Bobby was born in Boonville, Indiana on April 7, 1933 to the late Lee and Genevieve (Martz) Hart.

Bobby graduated from Boonville High School. He served proudly in the United States Army for four years during the Korean War. He retired from Peabody Coal Company after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John’s East United Church of Christ in Evansville, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Joey Hart; grandchildren, Melissa Hart, Angela Nix; brother, Bill Hart.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 25 years, Margaret Ann Hart of Boonville, IN; children, Rob Hart and his wife, Sonja of San Diego, CA; Tom Hart and his wife, Judy of Lima, OH; Kenny Hart and his wife, Connie of Pinetta, FL; Doris Carwile and her husband, Jeff of Boonville, IN; Kim McLemore and her husband, Dennis of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Max, Andrea, Joe, Brandon, Breanna, Jamie, Jeremy, Pebbles, Soni, Ashlee, Bobby; great-grandchildren, Kailey, Hannah, Owen, Emma, Weston, Cole, Gia; great-great-granddaughter, Demi; sisters, Margaret Katterjohn of Austin, TX; Myrna Johnson and her husband, David of Evansville, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Rev. Vicki Hopkins officiating. Burial took place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to AseraCare Hospice.

The family would like to thank Julia, Jordan, Baily, and Angie with AseraCare Hospice for their loving care and support.

The family requests all guests who attend the visitation or service to wear a mask.
