EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Rev. David Bruce Stevenson, 79, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh, Indiana.

David was born in Hammond, Indiana on Aug. 29, 1941 to the late Virgil Elonzo and Laura Bernice (Dunlap) Stevenson.

David was a pastor for many years at Calvary Baptist Church in Boonville, Indiana. He also pastored in Torino, Italy; Columbus, Ohio; and Providence, Rhode Island with The Association of Baptist for World Evangelism.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Kent Stevenson; siblings, Nedra Golembeck, Barbara Herrell, James Stevenson, Richard Stevenson.

David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosezell Stevenson of Evansville, IN; children, Denise Howard of Evansville, IN; Rebecca Genna and her husband, Victor of Spring Hill, FL; grandchildren, Scott Howard Jr. of Henrico, VA; Jacquelyn Rose Waters of Newburgh, IN; Steven Brett Mahon of Evansville, IN; Zachary Eugene Howard of Newburgh, IN; great-grandchildren, Angel Renee Mahon, Eian Ryder Mahon, Brandon Michael Mahon, Hannah Lynn Waters, Elijah Scott Waters, Teagan Marie Mahon, Steven Cole Mahon, Garret Cole Howard, Grayson Emery Howard, Bristol Lee Howard, Riley Rosezell Howard, Julian Scott Howard, Brady William Howard, Flora Gladys Howard; sister, Clara Margaret Bokori of Valparaiso, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor David Michener officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana in Louisville, Kentucky.
