Hilbert “Hib” Ray Riggle

Hilbert “Hib” Ray Riggle

Hilbert “Hib” Ray Riggle went home to his Lord and Savior on Aug. 24, 2020 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville.

He was born on June 17, 1936 in Lamar, Indiana to Reuel and Myrtle (Conner) Riggle.

He attended Boonville High School and graduated in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Sally (Strahle) on November 16, 1955, and would have celebrated 65 years this year.

Hib was hired by Alcoa Warrick Operations in March of 1960 and retired after 44 years in 1994. He loved fishing, traveling, especially to see his kids and grandkids, and spending his retirement with his wife, and many dear friends, at his winter home in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. He was an avid sports fan and loved following his grandkids and great grands to their sporting events. “Riggle” was their number one fan. He attended Living Word Christian Church and was a member of Strangers Rest Lodge 240.

Hib is survived by his wife Sally; son Bob (Debi) Riggle; daughter Kaye (Randy) Ashby; sons Jim Riggle, and Keith (Sue) Riggle; three sisters Densille Sutton, Dotty Parkhurst, and Judy (Steve) Durbin; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter in law Rebecca Riggle.

A special thanks to our extended family at Woodmont Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.

Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 at Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana with Pastor Jim Riggle officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to Living Word Christian Church of Newburgh in Hib’s honor.

Friends unable to attend may send a condolence to the family at www.Koehler
