MARJORIE LEE LUCAS

Chandler, IN. — Marjorie Lee Lucas, at the young age of 91, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior and lay her burdens down on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Marjorie was born in Alton, Illinois on October 12, 1929 to the late John

Harvey and Stella (Wyman) King. Marjorie was a long-time member of the Chandler United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She was an artist who loved quilting and making and restoring dolls.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Evan Lucas; grandson, Ronald Evan Lucas Jr; 3 siblings. Marjorie is survived by her children, Lucinda “Cindy” Lucas-Steele;Ronald, Evan Lucas Sr. (Yvonne); Brian Keith Lucas (Joan); companion, Elmer Feldbush; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Gress, Denny Gress, and Lenny Gress; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel in Chandler, Indiana with Pastor Christina Poehlein officiating. Burial took place at Greenwood Cemetery in Chandler, Indiana.

Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 and again from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chandler United Methodist Church.
