Jack A. Salwaechter

BOONVILLE, IN. — Jack A. Salwaechter, 90, from Boonville, Indiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Feb. 10, 2021.

Jack is the son of Dora and Rev. Albert Salwaechter.

Jack farmed for over 55 years. He was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmers Award and was honored by being inducted into the Agriculture Hall of Fame. Jack served on the Warrick County Soil and Water Conservation Board, he was a lifetime member of the Antique Steam and Gas Engine Club, and won several service awards throughout his life. Jack was also a member of Farm Bureau where he served as president and vice-president for 17 ½ years.

Jack is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Rose and a granddaughter, Donna Weir.

Jack is survived by his wife of 71 years, Alberta (Wire) Salwaechter; four daughters, Doris (Kevin) Kenny of Evansville; Sandra (Ron) Parke of Evansville; Patricia (Ray) Holder of Boonville; Audrey (Butch) Persinger-Phillips of Boonville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-granchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

All services will be private. Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana is entrusted with his care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Antique Steam and Gas Engine Club.
