Walter Noel Morphew Jr., 71, of Tennyson, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Walter was born in Dawson Springs, Kentucky on May 19, 1948 to the late Walter Noel Sr. and Helen L. (Enright) Morphew.

He was a long time member of True Life General Baptist Church in Dale. Walter retired after 50 years as a long haul truck drive. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul David Morphew; wife, Janet Morphew.

Walter is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson of Tennyson; children, Jordan Wilson of Tennyson; James Wilson of Tennyson; Keyan Morphew of Tennyson; Joey Askins of Evansville; Angie Dillard of Evansville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Faye Paddock (Forrest) of Evansville; Sandy Overbey (Jim) of Boonville; William Morphew (Joanna) of Minnesota; Sharon Roth of Jockey; Donald Morphew (Pamela) of Evansville; Timothy Morphew (Joyce) of Goshen, Ky.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Elva Harris and Butch Stotlar; dog, Lady.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at True Life General Baptist Church in Dale.
