BOONVILLE — Carrie Crawford Dixon, 47, passed away June 27, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Ind.

Carrie was born Jan. 15, 1975, to Charles Crawford and Jennifer (Crawford) Overton. She attended Boonville High School and Ivy Tech School of Nursing. She was a great mother, daughter, sister, friend, and nurse and she loved her son, Kade, with all of her heart. She had a fiery spirit, and we loved her dearly. Carrie loved to travel, attend concerts, and shop.

She also loved her family dearly. Carrie was an organ donor, and we hope she helped many. We want you to remember that “Tomorrow is never promised.”

She was preceded in death by Grandparents Charlotte Jones, Jack Crawford, and great-grandparents Porter and Esther Girdley, and Opal Crawford.

She is survived by her son, Kade Dixon; parents and step-parents, Charles and Lanette Crawford, and Jennie and Dean Overton; grandmother, Linda Crawford; sisters, Laura (Jeff) Stanton, Jaci Crawford (Eric Bratton) and Whitney Crawford; stepbrother, Adam Overton; aunts and uncle, Connie Barnett, Dana Hansen, and Phillip Jones; nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Kourtney, and Kody Collins, Addison Horne (Avery Ott and Kree Horne), Chloe Stanton, Sawyer Morgan, and Noah Crawford-Brooks; her former husband and life-long friend, Tim Dixon; special cousins, Aimee Barnett, Erin Whitehouse, Sara Barnett; and several other cousins and dear friends.

A memorial service was held at 5:30 on Saturday, July 2, at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Ind., with Pastor Jeff Stanton officiating.

Visitation was held Saturday, July 2, at the funeral home.
