Boonville, IN. — Larry Joe Dimmett Sr., 82, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Woodmont Health Campus surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on May 8, 1938 in Warrick County, Indiana to the late Joe and Irene (Bruner) Dimmett.

Larry was a member of the Operating Engineer Local # 181 for over 25 years and retired after working 10 years for the Warrick County Highway Department. He enjoyed farming, volunteering at the 4-H center board and helping his son as an “Auctioneer Consultant”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill Dimmett, Ronnie Dimmett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ethel Leslie, Billy Adams, Donald Adams, Janet Gail Adams.

Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Dimmett of Boonville, IN; children, Larry Joe Dimmett Jr. and his wife, Anne of Boonville, IN; Robert Dimmett of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Macy Dimmett and Dawson Dimmett of Boonville, IN; sister, Jolene Marshall and her husband, Jim of Boonville, IN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Beverly Dimmett, Delores Roush, Paul Adams (Barbara), Bobby Adams (Betty), Hazel Adams, Jimmy Adams (Ruth Ann), Linda Roll, Patty Miller, Ronnie Adams (Angie), Kenny Adams.

Services will be 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor Matt Hall and Kent Kleiman officiating. Burial will be at Little Zion Cemetery in Tennyson, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Warrick County 4-H Board.
