To the editor:

On July 1 around 1 p.m., I was lost and decided to turn around. In the process, I managed to back my little truck into a deep gully. What was I to do?

Panic was setting in when two men hauling commercial mowers, a man in a white Toyota truck and a man in a dark blue SUV stopped to help. Within seconds they formulated a plan, collected the equipment and even drove my truck out of the gully.

They were so kind to me and refused payment. They are all heroes to me and I will never forget their kindness.
