Warrick County kids will have an opportunity to learn about the outdoors through the Conservation Crusaders program at Friedman Park in Newburgh.
After overcoming obstacles and hardships in their life and education, several students finally celebrated completing their high school careers thanks to the Warrick Education Center.
The sons and daughters of five employees from Alcoa Warrick Operations have each been awarded college scholarships from the Alcoa Foundation.
The students at Chandler Elementary School collected 1,002 canned goods for the Chandler United Methodist Church Food Pantry in less than two weeks’ time. Mrs. Slepsky’s and Mrs. Merta’s classes each brought in 110 cans, earning them priority seating at the school’s I-Can Program on Oct. 15.
The results for ISTEP+ are behind schedule, and Warrick County School Coorporation Superintendent Brad Schneider says the delay is unacceptable.
