Getting the bye along with an upset certainly didn’t help Tecumseh in their game against North Posey in the Southridge sectional semi finals. The Braves (10-13) lost to the Vikings (14-11) for the second time this season by the final score of 60-31. North Posey had upset 12th ranked Mater Dei in the first round.

North Posey eventually lost to South Spencer in this sectional’s championship game by the final score of 56-55.

“We played a great first half. We left some opportunities to play even better by not finishing some open shots. In the second half we couldn’t score and then when we couldn’t score, North Posey got its transition game in gear and we couldn’t keep up,” Braves coach Kevin Oxley said.

Tecumseh was only down five at the half at 27-22, but scored five in the third quarter compared to 18 by North Posey which did them in.

Tanner Toopes led the Braves with 14 points.
