Castle and Tecumseh boys volleyball teams will advance to regionals after winning their respective sectionals.

Tecumseh is celebrating their third sectional championship victory after back to back sectional victories in 2018 and 2019. For Castle, this sectional title is the team’s 27th consecutive and 31st all time title.

The Braves took on opponents in a sectional at Princeton first taking on the hosts in the opening match of the section. Tecumseh took the win over Princeton, 3-2, and went on to face Gibson Southern in the sectional championship after the Titans knocked out Wood Memorial in the second match of the first round, 5-0.

In the end, Tecumseh took the win over Gibson Southern in the sectional final, 5-0. Now, the Braves will face Evansville North in a regional matchup.

North took out Memorial for their sectional title, 4-1, after knocking out Harrison in the first round.

Castle took on opponents in a sectional at Tell City first taking on South Spencer in the opening match of the sectional knocking out the Rebels, 5-0. Boonville faced Tell City in the second match, but fell to the Marksmen, 3-2.

Then, in the third match of the sectional, Castle knocked out Heritage Hills, 4-1, to move on to the sectional championship against Tell City. Ultimately, the Knights knocked out the Marksmen, 5-0, for the sectional title.

Now, Castle will face Reitz in a regional matchup after Reitz took their own sectional title by defeating Mater Dei in the sectional final, 4-1 after knocking out Mount Central in the first round, 3-2.
