Warrick County football teams are gearing up to face their sectional opponents after pairings were announced.

Tecumseh will kick off Warrick County’s sectional play on Friday, Oct. 23, with a sectional opener against Eastern Greene at home. The same night, West Washington will take on North Daviess, Perry Central will take on Springs Valley and Rock Creek Academy will face North Central.

The winners between the Tecumseh/Eastern Greene and West Washington/North Daviess games will take on each other in a sectional semifinal while the winners between the Perry Central/Springs Valley and Rock Creek Academy/North Central games will face off in a semifinal matchup, both on Friday, Oct. 30. Then, the semifinal winners will battle in the sectional final on Friday, Nov. 6.

In Class 4A, Boonville will get a first round bye while Central takes on Jasper in a sectional hosted by the Wildcats on Friday, Oct. 23. The same night, Reitz will take on Harrison and Northview will take on Memorial.

Then, on Friday, Oct. 30, Boonville will face the winner between Central and Jasper in a sectional semifinal matchup on the road while the winners of the Reitz/Harrison and Northview/Memorial games will take on each other in a sectional semifinal. The winners of the semifinal matchups will face off in the sectional final on Friday, Nov. 6.

In Class 5A, Castle Castle will take on Bloomington South in the semifinal of the four team sectional on Friday, Oct. 30, at home. The same night, Bloomington North will take on Evansville North in a sectional semifinal hosted by the Huskies.

The winner between the two semifinal matchups will face off in the sectional final on Friday, Oct. 6.
